ARMOUR ETCH - ETCHING CREAM

Armour Etch is a specially formulated, fast-acting glass etching cream that allows you to create permanent engraved designs on windows, mirrors, and glass for your home.

Create your own custom stencil using a Cricut or Silhouette machine: this unique glass etching system enables anyone to personalize and decorate glass or mirrors in just a few minutes, even without previous experience.

Please note:

• Not suitable for use by children
• Does not etch plastic or certain types of Pyrex glass
• Not recommended for etching large areas of glass

Instructions:

• Thoroughly clean the glass or mirror to remove all grease, dust, and fingerprints. Avoid using fingerprint-resistant cleaning solutions, as they leave a film on the glass that hinders the etching process. Avoid fingerprints on the area of the glass where you are about to etch. Completely dry the glass or mirror.
• Choose your preferred stencil and apply it to the glass, rubbing it vigorously to ensure it adheres perfectly to the surface.
• Apply a strip of tape around the entire stencil, overlapping the tape, being careful not to overlap the design. This overlap prevents the etching cream from coming into contact with the glass and etching unwanted areas!
• To achieve the best etching results, we recommend that the room temperature, the etching cream temperature, and the object you are etching be above 20 degrees Celsius. Shake the ARMOUR ETCH cream well. Work in a well-lit and well-ventilated area near a water source. Wear plastic gloves and eye protection.
• Apply a thick layer of etching cream so that the chemical reacts properly on the glass or mirror. The thickness should be such that you cannot see the stencil design through the Armour Etch cream. Stay within the area defined by the adhesive tape.
• Allow the ARMOUR ETCH cream to remain on the glass for only one minute. No longer! Immediately after, rinse off the cream under warm water. During this rinsing, part of the stencil will be removed, but don't worry. After thoroughly washing away any trace of the etching cream, remove all remaining tape and mask pieces. Clean the glass using a glass cleaner and dry completely.
