ART CLAY SILVER 950 25 GR

The Art Clay silver 950 version compared to the standard version has a 95% silver concentration + 5% copper.

Key features:

- 60 % more resistant than the standard 999 version

- excellent consistency and moldability of the clay before firing
- simple firing in the kiln, no carbon is needed

Firing:
This version of Metal Clay does not require activated carbon. Firing has to be made in 2 steps, for a total of 2 hours.
1. Place the piece on a firing surface inside the oven at room temperature. 2. Set the temperature to 500 °C and maintain for 30 minutes (this first step allow the binder to burn).
3. Go to 850 ° C and maintain for 60 minutes (this final step sinteres the metal particles).

The kiln can go to temperature at maximum speed and cooling between the two steps is not necessary.
Do not move the piece after the first step because it is very fragile and could break.

Resistance: b>

This version is 60% more resistant than the Art Clay Standard version: this is due to the percentage of copper inside.
This resistance makes this product ideal for carrying out projects that are worn, such as rings or pendants.

Shrinkage: b>

The shrinkage of the 950 version is around 10-13%, higher than the standard version (8-10%). Keep this in mind when making rings.
