Thermocouple Type S (PtRh10%-Pt)

A type S thermocouple (Pt10%Rh - Pt, Platinum10%Rhodium / Platinum) according to DIN EN 60584 is suitable for applications at higher temperatures in clean, oxidizing, and neutral atmospheres (air), in non-aggressive (noble) gases, and for short periods in vacuum.

The standardized temperature range is -50°C to +1768.1°C, with an operating range from 0 to +1600°C in class 1, with a limiting deviation of ±1.0°C or [1 + (t - 1100) x 0.003] °C. In class 2, the limiting deviation is ±1.5°C or 0.25%.

• Material: Platinum-Rhodium (PtRh10%-Pt).
• Wire diameter: 0.35 mm.
• Ceramic 610 cover, 8 mm diameter.
• Isolated aluminium head.
• Mechanically resistant up to 1400°C and electrically up to 1800°C.
• Ideal for industrial furnaces and high-temperature processes.
