Discover the art of cloisonné enamel and create a handcrafted piece of jewelry while learning one of the most fascinating artistic enamelling techniques, under the guidance of Rebecca Di Filippo (https://rebeccadenamel.com/biography), who has taught this technique to more than 400 students from over 20 countries.
During the course, you will follow every stage of the process: from preparing the copper base and applying silver leaf to shaping the silver wires, filling the enamel, kiln firing, and the final grinding and polishing.
Guided step by step by the instructor, you will acquire the fundamental skills needed to work safely with vitreous enamel and understand how the materials behave during firing. By the end of the course, you will have created a unique, fully personalized piece, finished entirely by hand.
The course is held in Italian and English.
During the course, the following topics will be covered:
At the end of the course, each participant will have learned the fundamentals of the cloisonné technique and will take home an original creation made entirely by hand.
Depending on the pace of work, more experienced participants may also have the opportunity to complete a second piece.
You'll take your pieces home at the end of the course. Examples of finished work can be seen in Rebecca's workshop gallery: https://rebeccadenamel.com/vitreous-enamel-micromosaic-workshops
The course will be confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants.
Participation is reserved for people aged 16 and over.
