POLIVINOL - POLYVINYL ALCOHOL 1 KG

Blue liquid applicable by brush or spray, it is Polyvinyl Alcohol in aqueous solution.

Key features:

• It is a water-soluble and non-flammable product.
• It is used both as a release agent and as a peelable protective varnish.
• As a release agent, it is almost exclusively used in combination with release waxes in the composite materials sector to ensure complete protection from Styrene in unsaturated polyester products. For this use, it can be applied to the mold both before and after the wax.
• Applied before wax, it remains permanently on the mold for a long time: the wax is intended to be renewed between the various prints. However, the release wax contaminates the parts.
• Applied after wax, in addition to facilitating detachment, it prevents the wax from contaminating the finished piece if it is to be painted later on.
• During extraction, the film remains in the part and is removed by simply washing it with water.
• As a peelable varnish, it is used to protect models and prototypes of all kinds from various contaminations, mainly during painting phases. It also provides good scratch protection.
• POLIVINOL is an excellent coadjutant of waxes in the release treatment of models and molds.
• It is also used as a protective film for painted surfaces, glass, crystals, metals, ceramics.

Instructions for use:

• POLIVINOL should be diluted with water:
• For brush application, it is recommended to use a 10-15% dilution.
• For spray application, no dilution is required if sprayed with a 1.4 mm diameter nozzle and a 1.5-2 bar pressure.
• In other conditions, a 4-5% dilution may be necessary.

Storage: 

• Avoid freezing.
• 2 years at temperatures between 5 and 35°C.
