Prometheus Jewellers Light Yellow Bronze is a bronze-based metal clay that, after firing, develops a colour similar to pale gold. It is composed of very fine bronze particles mixed with an organic binder and formulated nickel free.

After drying and firing according to technical specifications, the piece can be finished by sanding, polishing or patinating.

Firing method

With Activated Carbon

1. Step 1: place the dry piece on a stainless steel mesh, insert into a cold kiln and heat to 500 °C for 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
2. Step 2: place approximately 3 cm of activated carbon at the bottom of a steel container, position the pieces at least 1.5 cm apart and fully cover with carbon. Close the container, place in a kiln preheated to 780 °C and fire for 60 minutes. Allow to cool inside the kiln.

Shrinkage: 17–19%
